Healthy Refreshments for Kids in School

Our kids’ snacks will not be complete without drinks or refreshments to match.  During our time our choices were Chocolait, Fresh Milk, Hi-C or Sunkist Juice Drinks.  Now there are numerous drinks with their own claims of health benefits that you can choose from in the market.  Finding the healthy drink that will fit the nutritional needs of your kids can be as tedious as choosing healthy grocery snacks for them.

Some schools provide a list of recommended snacks and drinks to the parents at the start of the school year.  Homemade snacks and drinks are still considered as the best for kids. However, this can be too stressful for moms who juggle their careers with parenthood and homemaking or moms who have several kids to take care of.  Here are some healthy drinks that you can easily find in the grocery to help you provide nourishing refreshment for the kids while they are in school.

  1. Tipco, Ceres, and Apple & Eve Juice drinks.  These brands of fruit juices use all natural ingredients that are rich sources of Vitamins A and C as well as minerals like magnesium, potassium and calcium.
  2. Fresh Milk or Choco Milk Drink  can help build stronger bones and teeth for your children. It is rich in calcium and also contains proteins and carbohydrates that can support your child’s physical and mental activities for the day.
  3. Dutch Mill Yogurt Milk Drink.  Yogurt or frozen yogurt fad is a trend that both kids and adult enjoy.  Another way to enjoy yogurt is through the yogurt milk drink.  These drinks are rich in calcium, protein, potassium and B vitamins.  They are also low calories drink options that are good for digestion. The Dutch Mill yogurt milk brand is my pick for our snack refreshments since it has a higher percentage of yogurt content than other brands.

Those who are dealing with hyperactive kids can get water for their kids since drinks that may contain sugar can contribute to the child’s hyperactivity.  The drinks that we give our kids in school aren’t simply refreshment tools.  They also help us provide our kids with the nourishment they need to perform in school.
