Building Kiddie Muscles with Nutritious Food and Play Yard Activities

My little boy loves to play superhero ever since we attended a costume party and dressed him up as Superman. He would often get his superman cape and pretend to save her damsel in distress sister from various mishaps. You would also see him flexing his still puny muscles in his various super hero stances which he does after “saving” his sister. It will still take a lot of time before he develops some real super hero muscles, but giving him nutritious food and ample play can help start his muscle building program as early as now.

Protein, Iron and Calcium help kids build strong muscles and bones. Meat eggs and fish are excellent sources of protein. Some body builders and runners recommend fish that are rich in Omega 3 and Vitamin D like Salmon and Tuna. Aside from protein and vitamins, fish can also be a source of iron and calcium which can complete your muscle building recipes. Natural food and exercise is our best ally in promoting physical growth for our kids especially when they are still young and not yet ready for body building routines. There are also chewable vitamins and food supplements that help promote muscle growth. However, it is my rule of thumb to consult our pediatrician first before giving my kids any medication, vitamins or food supplements. After all we aren’t as serious with body building as their uncle who gets his regular supply of food supplements from http://www.shoppharmacycounter.com/t-phentermine.aspx.  When they are old enough to pursue their own sports we can consider other nutritional supplements that will support the physical requirements for it. For now, were sticking with health eating habits and an active lifestyle that promote physical, mental and emotional growth for our kids.
