Our recent food trip in Tinapayan bakeshop got us bingeing on ensaymada, mini-muffins, and silvanas. The Silvanas caught our attention because it is unlike any that we have tasted before. Its appearance was enticing but it was a bit short on the filling and is not as buttery as the regular silvanas. However, it was generous with the cookie crumb coating making it taste more like a nutty polvorn with filling.
The individual compone
nts may not be at par with the traditional silvanas or the ones from House of Silvanas but the combination of all ingredients created a unique and yummy version of silvanas. The kids and I actually found ourselves consuming the whole box in just one sitting. This is definitely another treat that we’ll keep coming back for at Tinapayan Bakery.
